Silent Night- Simplicity in Worship
Born out of necessity, as the organ in a small Austrian church was broken on Christmas Eve, the simplicity of this most beloved Christmas Carol has captured the hearts of millions around the world for 200 years. Simplicity is not only beautiful, it is often essential.  What gets in the way of placing Jesus at the top of the priority list?  Sometimes we complicate life even with the best of things and intentions, but they distract us away from what is most important.  This song encourages us to keep it simple.

Hark, the Herald Angels Sing- Worship in Truth
Charles Wesley, alongside of his brother John, were the founders of Methodism and an emphasis on bringing the Word of God to life to produce holiness in the life of believers.  Wesley's ability to take the Scriptures and poetically set them to meters that could be sung is only outdone by his ability to succinctly encapsulate the depth of truth that his hymns speak of.  Hark the Herald Angels Sing is a treasure trove of theology packaged in a beloved Christmas Carol that reminds us of the truth we rehearse as we worship.

Joy to the World- A call to authentic worship
"Joy to the World!"  This song was written with no thought to Christmas. So how did it become such a beloved Christmas classic?  Who wrote it?  Why? And what can we learn from its original intention?

Going through life's struggles is difficult, but when we can find perspective and maintain our bearings, we can more clearly see what God is capable of accomplishing and the peace that He can provide through the process.

Why is there so much suffering?
Probably one of the most long-standing objections to faith in God is, "If God is good and all-powerful, then why is there so much suffering in the world?"  Excellent question and legitimate concern.  However, where does a persons concern for compassion and justice actually come from?  Suffering actually makes a case for the existence and goodness of God.

Divine Design for Healthy Relationship: Purpose and Priority
What does it practically mean to "seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness"?  As we begin our series focusing on healthy relationships, we start with the most foundational and important one, our relationship with God.  Jesus simple phrase in Matthew 6:33 gives us a clear direction on how to orient our lives and in so doing a higher purpose and priority for all of our other relationships.
