RUSS & LISA
Co-Lead Pastors
Russ and Lisa serve as our Co-Pastors here at The Source. Married for over 33 years, they’ve been in ministry together just as long—and they still love it! Both are ordained elders in the Free Methodist Church and bring a unique blend of pastoral care, teaching, and counseling to our church family. In addition to ministry, Russ and Lisa are also licensed therapists who work with individuals, couples, and families. In addition to ministry, Russ and Lisa are licensed therapists who work with individuals, couples, and families. Russ specializes in depression, trauma, child therapy, and couples counseling. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music and two master’s degrees—one in counseling and one in exegetical theology. He’s the lead teacher at The Source and serves in leadership within our Free Methodist denomination. He’s spoken at conferences in the U.S. and Canada and has led worship in various settings and contexts both domestically and internationally. Lisa specializes in anxiety, trauma, abuse recovery, and family therapy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Bible and ministry, a master’s in counseling, and is certified in neurofeedback. She’s also a registered counseling supervisor in Oregon and an adjunct professor, most recently at Multnomah University. Lisa has spoken at numerous women’s conferences on topics like trauma, stress, and navigating life’s storms.Musically gifted, both Russ and Lisa are part of our worship team—Russ plays guitar, piano, and sings, while Lisa plays the bass. Their ministry experience is deep and wide—Lisa has served in women’s ministry, outreach, youth, teaching, and missions, while Russ has served in AWANA, teaching, discipleship, and denominational leadership. Together, they have seven children, two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law, and five sweet grandsons. Lisa loves gardening and cherishing time as “Gigi,” and Russ enjoys sci-fi movies (especially Star Wars) and working on home projects. They also love to travel and serve abroad, and have had the joy of visiting and/or serving in India, Uganda, Singapore, Mexico, Guatemala, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, France, and Hawaii—and especially love any chance to go to Disney World together! More than anything, Russ and Lisa love doing life and ministry side by side—and it shows in every area of their leadership.
