The Bible was never meant to be read like a dictionary or an encyclopedia. It is a story of God’s pursuit of relationship with us and facilitating relationship with one another. “in the beginning…” God created man and woman in his image equal and with the charge together, before the fall, to steward all of creation together. As sin entered the world, hierarchy ensued and it became a “man’s world.” However, the story of Scripture is filled with incredible women whom God used as a part of his grand plan of redemption, and they became central figures for Jesus in his ministry, death and resurrection.
